I want to build some light cruiser models in Man the Guns but they always end up as heavies. currently, light cruisers are the meta screens for your strike force. Battleships can take a lot of hits and carry a lot of firepower. Their was a time where the strategy was to use only light cruisers.They are 2 different things LC are screens where HC are capital ships. Its primary duty is to shield capital ships from enemy light ships that carry torpedoes, but it can also unleash powerful torpedoes that are capable of hurting bigger ships if they get close enough. ships can NOT pool their AA together, which means they're useless there.I think light cruisers and heavy cruisers are supposed to have different roles.

They cannot really do much else besides killing screens and equal to lower tier heavy cruisers. Screens are very important because they defend the larger ships from enemy small ships that can carry torpedoes (torpedoes have a lower hit chance but when they hit they do a ton of damage on large ships).
