I doubt I'd pay the paperback price for the next in the trilogy, but the cost of the kindle version represents OK value for money. So what started out as a freebie has introduced me to a full series of books by this writer that I intend to read.

There are better books in this genre out there, but sadly I think I've pretty, much already read them all. Earth must reconnect with its colonies and defeat a threat to the human species. The closing of the wormhole near Earth blocks travel and communication with the rest of Earth’s colonies, and for a century, the planet remains isolated. It's not just the same old sub-story repackaged 3 or 4 times in the book as it seems to be for a number of military space opera's out there. Cancel anytime. To good to miss. The antagonists are believable enough, though I’m not sure if a century of isolation can result in such drastic changes, but Larson’s stories aren’t really hard science fiction. What Larson does really well with his writing is to deliver fun and enjoyable stories. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I have with the previous BV Larson space/military offerings. Sleeping Giants (Themis Files Book 1) by Sylvain Neuvel Togoland was conquered by British forces from the Gold Coast (now Ghana) and by French forces from Dahomey (now Benin) in the first month of the war. Not a great book but a good read. As a heads up, the Valiant is designed for Cinematic and Roleplay Videos , therefore it may not work to 100% in the survival version of the game. The different ships, weapons, and humans were a fun part of the story, and the action scenes were engaging and interesting. A century ago our star erupted, destroying Earth's wormhole network and closing off trade with her colonized planets. Visit now to learn and choice more.

This character quality does allow the story more flexibility, and it provides a good contrast between the rigid military structure and the flexibility that a changing battlefield demands. The other human colonists, like Zye the Beta, seem interesting enough. Real good hardy reading. Battle Cruiser: Lost Colonies, Book 1 Audible Hörbuch – Ungekürzte Ausgabe B. V. This book could have been stand alone but I think it fits in better as the first of three. Excellent space opera with entertaining main character A nice story line with good characters, it was hard to put down. This feels like it could have been split into two parts, the first half introducing and setting the scene, with the second part being the obvious bit (For those who have finished the book). It has great character building and the story continually changes. An excellent read, pacey, full of twists, turns and cliff hangers. Yes indeed, classical gungho battle science fiction.
